Gaye Boland Memorial Scholarship

Criteria:
• Applicant must maintain a GPA of 3.0
• Applicant must demonstrate financial need by applying for FAFSA or writing a financial needs essay.
• Preference given to a student pursuing a business or education degree.
• Preference to student who is a current member of an MCC athletics team or an incoming freshman or transfer student that has committed to playing on an MCC athletics team.
Gaye Boland was a passionate teacher, ending her career teaching business classes here at MCC. While working and raising her children, Gaye earned her Masters of Education degree at Northern Illinois University. Athletics were an important part of her life as not only a participant but as an avid supporter of her children and grandchildren. She often advocated for women to be confident not only in their careers but in their personal lives.
